“Avengers: Infinity War” is already on track to continue its domination as the film has premiered in China, the last major market it is being released in.
Variety is reporting that by 10pm on Friday, the film had earned $66 million, with an additional $9.3 million from Thursday preview showings.
The all-time record for an opening film weekend in China is held by “Monster Hunt 2”, which was released in February with $187 million. “Avengers: Age of Ultron” holds 4th place with $156 million.
Earlier this week “Infinity War” had crossed $1.251 billion worldwide, putting it on track to likely break the $2 billion mark easily this summer.

The film is in theaters everywhere.
