Less than a week after the news that it would be renewed, CW has announced that “iZombie”, based on the Vertigo series of the same name, will end at the conclusion of its fifth season. The series joins “Jane the Virgin” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, which will also air their final seasons. Rose McIver, who stars as Liv Moore, a zombified medical examiner, confirmed the news on her twitter account.
So the fifth season of #iZombie will be our last. I am therefore committed and excited to make it the best one yet! Really proud to be on a show that celebrates the misfits and I pinch myself every day that I get to be a part of the iZombie world with you guys. Thank you ❤️

The final season of “iZombie” is expected to air on CW sometime in 2019.
