We’re all tired of being tethered to our devices through wired headphones. The downside is that wireless options are usually far too expensive without much improvement over their wired counterparts. Today, Mobvoi launched sale of the TicPods Free on their website, which might just peak the interest of those looking to go wireless, but haven’t taken the plunge.
These wireless earbuds started as an Indiegogo campaign earlier this year, and raised $2.8 million dollars for funding. They work with iOS and Android, have voice assistant support for Google, Siri, and Alexa, and can detect whether they’re in or out of your ear. Thanks to an IPX5 water resistance, these can account for #gymlife and rainy days. On a single charge, you’ll get 4 hours of battery life, which is plenty of time to watch your favorite shows, get in a full workout while pumping music, or make it through long commutes.
On the side of either bud are touch controls. Double taps, swipes, and long presses will let you do anything you might need, all without interacting with your phone. They also feature noise isolation and ambient sound cancellation, so you have access to some zen time with your music no matter where you are.
For those of us constantly on the go, the fast-charging case is a life-saver. Just 15 minutes can give you over an hour of battery life, though they can provide up to 18 hours of charge! How do I know this? They’re in my ears at this very moment, and you can expect a full review in the near future! These are available in Navy, Lava (red), and Ice (white) for $129.99.
