The Story

After living the life of a stray with her mother and siblings, Chi accidentally wanders away from her family. She is eventually found by a young boy named Yohei. However, his apartment complex forbade pets! Yohei’s parents, aptly referred to as Mom and Dad, began to search for an owner for Chi while harboring her. Chi’s cuteness prevails, and the family ends up falling in love with her so much that they decide to move.

In Chi’s Sweet Adventure Volume 2, she has settled in to her new family. Living life with Yohei has become a daily adventure, where the mundane is transformed into fantastical experiences. Seeing the world through Chi’s eyes is a breath of fresh air. It reminds readers to take a step back from the daily hustle and enjoy life’s small treasures.

In this second volume of the beloved series, Chi is on a mission to learn more about her surroundings, as well as her fellow feline friends. Blackie is found mid-hunt, and thus Chi begins lessons by the most capable cat in the series. Chi’s initial enthusiasm is inspiring, but she quickly forgets what she learns once she returns home and is safe in Yohei’s arms.

Readers with cats will enjoy Chi’s antics and spirit as she learns and grows. For those who aren’t as fortunate, reading Chi’s Sweet Adventure will give a glimpse into the experience of owning a cat. The stories are lighthearted and the artwork is adorable. It’s a quick pick-me-up for a boost of happiness!
